Minis with a Mission

Last week I announced a series of mini sessions that I’ll be offering this fall. It is an opportunity to make a positive impact in this world, all while creating beautiful images in this paradise we call home. Today I’m going to announce the specific dates and details and begin booking – but before we get to the details, I would like to share a little about my heart in all of this!

Every time I turn on the news I see evidence of the fragility and suffering of communities all over the world. Perhaps more than ever, I’m seeing the difficulties facing many of the communities in and around our cities. A few months ago I sat with a couple of missionaries who live in the inner city of Chicago, and heard about the realities of the struggles and prejudices that kids there are facing.

There is no justification for the violence, and it is never the answer… but the struggles are real. And for a long time now, my heart has been with the families in those places who are doing their best and dreaming of a bright future for their sweet little ones.

How can I put an outstretched hand to the prayers of my heart? Well, one way is to find someone who is in the thick of it, and figure out how to support them. My friend Erica is behind a beautiful program in the community of Austin, in Chicago. Its an early childhood studio that is equipping, loving, uplifting, teaching, enabling, and change-making.

I may not be able to sit in the thick of it with Erica, but I can sacrifice a little something on my end to make her job a little easier. To make the future a little brighter.

That is why half of everything that I make off of these mini sessions is going straight to A House in Austin.

I would love for you to partner with me!

The Minis with a Mission will be available on two dates this fall. If I book out those dates I will find a third date to open as well. The more I shoot, the more we can give… Let’s do this!!

Below you’ll find information about the dates and how to book. Each mini session will result in 7 images with full printing rights. Scroll down to the bottom to see a sample of what those 7 images would look like! And don’t ever hesitate to shoot me an email with any questions.
